Sunday - August 21, 2005 (Day 10) Photo Gallery

Click on a photo to see a larger version:

The local Church of Uganda (on the left) was a large hut made of sticks, mud and straw.
The church is slowly raising money to build a new building - this is the site and the part of the foundation which has been laid so far.

Because few people in Bululu have cash, they put food in the collection plate.  The food is then placed on this mate at the front of the church and sold to raise money.
At the Buluri Primary School, this hut serves as the teacher's lounge.

One of the classrooms in the school - the room is about as big as an American school room, but is crammed with pews to seat the 150 students who take class here.
The school's gutters run into a container - the rainwater is collected and used in this fashion.

The school's latrines are located across from the school building.
The school office had this plaque showing the Ugandan national anthem along with their method of denoting musical notes - very interesting.
We climbed the rock formation again today - I think this is going to be one of my favorite pictures of the trip!
(From left to right) Eden, myself and Tymberlee pose on top of one of the rocks.
Marian poses on the rock below the rock below the peak while the others admire the view.
Do you see the monkeys?...
...how about now!
The view of Bululu from the top of the rock formation.

Walking back from our climb with a parade of children leading us.
Walking back from Buchuri with a parade of children - do you sense a theme :-)
