Tuesday - August 23, 2005 (Day 12) Photo Gallery

Click on a photo to see a larger version:

Sunrise over the African plains.  Muterere is located only 80km (50 miles) from Kenya, which lies just beyond the mountains in the distance.
The Ugandan farmers use plots of land even in very inaccessible places.  Here, a rice field sits on a plateau some 100 meters above the surrounding plains.

A Ugandan woman was farming her field as we walked back at 7am.  This woman is pregnant and will likely continue to work the fields until just days before she gives birth.
Here, a woman is climbing up steep rocks to tend to her crops.

(From left to right) Mike, Dixon, myself, Okware and Farhan (front row) pose for a picture before we leave Bululu for the last time.
(From left to right) Farouk (our driver), Ester (one of the cooks in the village) myself and David (Ester's husband and a Habitat representative)..

Okware (front) was very sad to see us all go - a group hug seemed called for..
Our team poses one last time in front of the Bululu Habitat sign before heading to Kampala..
Kampala is a far cry from Bululu - a bustling modern town with a population of 1.2 million.
