Page of the Day

Hello and welcome to my page of the day.  My name is Nicholas and I am here in Aix-en-Provence, France studying classical dance this year.  While I am studying in France, I will put one photo of my promenades on this page each day.  As such, if you look at it often, you will know exactly what I am doing.  I hope that you like it and don't forget to write me at saadah@stanfordalumni.org.  So long!

Picture for Mai 11, 2003:
Hello!  Today, we went to Nîmes - a roman city!  We saw many interesting things which I am going to show you this week.  We begin with the pont du gard - an aqueduct built around 19 BC by the romans.  It was built to bring water to Nîmes and considering it is over two thousand years old, it is in very good condition.  It is 160 ft high and 900 ft. long!
